Vintage Shopping Edinburgh

What we do

Welcome to Shopping Safari, the UK's first vintage guided shopping tour!

This tour shall take you off the beaten track and introduce you to Edinburgh's best places to find vintage antiques, clothing, ornaments and memorabilia. Many of the city's charity shops and vintage shops house hidden gems and bargains, antiques and artefacts that are part of the very history of Scotland. Many people who come vintage shopping in Edinburgh do so to connect themselves to this history and find something unique to bring home that will connect them to Scotland forever.

We do the trekking, you do the bargain hunting!

Shopping Safari is a veritable treasure hunt of vintage shopping in Edinburgh!

Who is the guide?

My name is Julie Ann Thomason

I shall be your guide around the vintage shops of Edinburgh!

As an Edinburgh native, who is a trained, experienced tour guide and a former charity shop manager, you are in very good hands. Exploring the city with a guide is much more enjoyable than trying to find the best places on maps or by exploration, where time may be lost trying to find your way through the labyrinth of streets in the Old City. You will spend more time shopping and cover the very best charity and vintage shops in Edinburgh.

Clearly very knowledgeable...

The tour with Julie was great. She was full of information about Edinburgh and we visited places on the tour that we wouldn’t have seen had we just explored the city ourselves. Clearly very knowledgeable on the city and it’s history and also gave some good recommendations on good, authentic restaurants & shops. Steven   |   14/09/2021  |   Unknown

Julie is very knowledgeable...

Julie is very knowledgeable. The tour takes you to some really interesting places that you probably wouldn't see or know much of the history about. She was very sensitive to the fact that my father was hard of hearing and made sure he was always included and could hear her. Very thoughtful. Antonia   |   01/08/2021  |   Unknown
